Great food. Friendly staff.
My wife and I enjoyed freshly made sandwiches on lovely bread in this caf today but the whole experience turned sour when went to pay. We handed over a Scottish 20 note and the girl said she didn't think they accepted Scottish notes even though she had seen one in the till previously. When she asked the staff in the kitchen if it was acceptable she was given a definite "NO". We said we only had Scottish notes and had never experienced this problem in all the years we'd been coming to Crediton. The girl did apologise and said she wasn't sure if the boss, who wasn't in today would be happy. We pointed out that the note does state "to pay the bearer twenty pounds sterling" and a local customer also said that the bank would accept it. It's very sad to see such a bigoted attitude especially as we are all part of the UK. In the end as we had no other bank notes they had to accept it and needless to say we will not be using this caf again.

Fantastic choice of quality food. Friendly service. More than just a sandwich shop. The lasagne is to die for. I will be booking a corporate smrgsbord for Christmas for sure.
