Yet again I ordered a 14 Oz rump steak rare .well it came out rare but being a ex butcher I can honestly say it was not what I would have sold as a rump steak .it was the bottom end of a thick flank .it was tasteless and chewy .it had grissel in it . waiters ask if everything was ok .I said I was less than impressed .ask if it was cooked to my order .which it was so they walked off .no attempt to replace it etc .So in future eat steak at home or somewhere different .not in a Witherspoon
This place was like a monks knickers fully loaded but knowwere to go, it was quiet, like a vampire would pass wind and end up biteing itself for company... The food was great though, I thought my nose had turned into a snorter... View from the loo's was amazing, I thought I was in Miami! This place rocked my boat and made me capsize, fully recovered and now recommended...
We have had drinks here a few times and it has been ok. Cheap prices and the drinks are ok. Today we were hungry and ordered food. We ordered two Turkey dinners from the festive menu. Service was quite quick to tell us that they only had enough 'turkey breast ' for one, so i changed my order to a brie and cranberry burger. The turkey came out first and was anything but turkey breast. My wife ate the mash but the turkey was utterly inedible. The burger they brought out was beef (i don't eat red meat or pork) so had to be sent back. Eventually the right burger came out and was nothing much to shout about. To make matters worse the whole place was plastered in pamphlets for Tim Martin's personal political opinions. Not a great accompaniment to a meal. Perhaps if they focused as much on making food as trying to enforce political statements onto people, their food would then be edible.
